New ways to start Firefox.

At the top right, you see the current tab, Firefox Start, with a quick search toolbar inside the tab. At the top left, you see some of the default bookmarks now transformed into its widgetized thumbnails, for example, Getting Started and Latest Headlines. (We will get to the missing Most Visited menu later.)

The Getting Started tab shows an excerpt of the page, while Latest Headlines shows the list of latest headlines like an RSS widget.

Fresh Install experience

Getting Started thumbnail, and Firefox Start at top right, mimicking the current search bar, but more logical and useful. Welcome at center. Plus, text on the Getting Started thumbnail is clearly readable.

Create New Tab?

Creating new instances of existing bookmarks (e.g. using the Google Search) is probably a better way to create a New Tab, but you can still create a new blank tab if you cannot cut the habit. The address bar is automatically shown and focused.

Normal Start / Clean Start

Firefox saves the previous state of itself before last exit. There is no normal 'Start Page', but Bookmarks Space can act as a good one. Alternatively, users can choose not to remember previous tabs, and open a blank slate every time.
