Pak-Kei Mak wrote his first software and designed its interface in GW-BASIC at the age of 6. After that he had learnt all the usual languages, but figured user experience design was more fun. He then wrote software with his friends, and had since won some awards. After that, he was graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with Bachelor of Fine Arts and Architecture degrees. He is currently the chief designer of Trillian and Trillian Astra by Cerulean Studios, a multiple award-winning instant messenger with more than 35 million downloads worldwide.
